Would rather see our deal end up with Fox Sports like the rest of the conference that way Dish/Directv people would benefit as well not just Mediacom subscribers. Guess we'll wait and see what happens. I think we all would. Now whether or not fox sports is interested in our content is another matter completely. I think everyone would prefer that. But if Fox isnt interested, then inking a deal with mediacom is better than nothing.

Looking at the other teams in conference what to they have to offer than ISU wouldn't? I guess baseball is the main difference but would that be enough to keep Fox Sports from locking us up too?

Re: Announcement coming: "Cyclones.TV is the real deal"
Whatever they decide to do, whether it be a FOX broadcast or Mediacom they need to get these games on for casual fans and genral sports fans to see. This team needs to have every game on at every sports bar and available to the most TV's as possible. That's how you grow a fan base.

An internet subscription-based network serves your existing fans but has no chance to gain you new ones. No young sports fans are flipping through channels right now and happening upon the Cyclones, at least during the non-conference portion of our schedule.

Re: Announcement coming: "Cyclones.TV is the real deal"
A little off topic but since this is the most recent thread discussing cyclones.tv I'll ask anyway. Has anyone attempted/tried streaming cyclones.tv through xbox 360 using the new internet explorer app? Just thought about it at while at work so no way to check.
For some reason I'm going to assume it will not work due to it not having the correct flash players, etc, and the app more just being able to look at websites etc.

Good question...I'll have to see. That will hopefully work way better than my laptop!

For some reason I'm going to assume it will not work due to it not having the correct flash players, etc, and the app more just being able to look at websites etc. This is a good question and I was pondering this today thinking about a Christmas gift for my father. It seems like a lot of people do not want/like Cyclones.TV because they want to watch on their televisions. (Fine i spend way more time at my desktop and my 50" TV doesn't even work atm because it needs a color wheel). However, most people aren't tech savvy enough or want to mess with having to hook up a computer to the TV etc.
So, I know that a lot of people cutting the cable have started using devices like the Roku box as an easy way to stream media straight to their TV. I was wondering if the Roku box could stream to a TV right now or would they have to add a new application or something? Does anyone have any more info or perhaps another "consumer friendly" way to stream to the TV. I know that I convinced my father to sign up for a year of Cyclones.TV but has only watched the football game because he went into work in order to watch.

Re: Announcement coming: "Cyclones.TV is the real deal"
it could be done if your bluray supported flash which mine does not. i looked yesterday and there are some that do so theoretically you should be able to navigate to cyclones.tv on blurays browser and watch.

My Dad uses his Logitech Revue with Google TV and it works great.
