Quite a few casino resorts if you like that. Should visit the rain forest, El Yunke(sp?) The fort in the harbor by San juan is neat. Alot of snorkeling/scuba opportunities. The islands off the main island are supposed to have great beaches. (Vieques and Culebra)

I've been several times and can't say that I'm overly impressed with PR. Twice have been on cruise stops so we were only there for a day but there are so many "better" islands in my opinion.

How did you choose PR? You should look into St. Thomas (US Virgin Island), much better in my opinion.

If you do settle on PR, I'd stay at a nice resort as things can be a little shady in many parts.

I have never felt in danger there, like any big city(san Juan) you have to be smart when and where you go. The south and southeast part of the island is more carrebean. Alot of things to see, should be able to find it on the internet. Let me know if you have more specific questions.

It's been a few years ago but I stayed at a Westin that was very nice But on the shuttle from the airport to the hotel you see the "real PR" and that is very scary. You will want to stay on the resort property.

We have in laws that have a condo, it's by the Wyndham Rio Mar resort which has a decent beach, nice pools and a small casino. Location is nice as you are close to the El Yunque rain forest for hiking with waterfalls/pools to cool off in, also nearby is a bioluminescent bay-kayaking at night with glow in the dark water-pretty cool. In addition just down the coast is Fajardo that has several catamaran snorkeling/booze daytrips which are fun.
