Which would you rather see done first?
All the talk about bowling in the south endzone I am interested in what you would rather see done first. The endzone or the practice facility.
I would rather have the practice facility first.

Practice facility. Bowling of the Jack would/will be nice, but I don't see it as being more important the the Cyclone Fanantic Practice Facility.

BBall, I actually am not that impressed with the endzone bowling drawings. I thought they would have 2 decks and keep the same flow, what I saw was it just look like they put seats on the hillside.

Do they still practice at State Gym? They need a newer/better practice facility more than we need the aesthetics of the bowl.

Practice facility.
It benefits more sports (at least both BBall teams, the VB team, perhaps the wrestlers?). There will be more offices/meeting rooms for the teams, a new weight facility, and I think I recall hearing they're all really packed in at the Jake currently.
I keep coming back to an article a year ago where the writer said something like "More like Super-8 Coliseum." I'd love to see Hilton become a world-class facility.

I think the impacts on recruiting for Football are more important than Basketball right now. GMac has been able to bring in some great players with the facilities as they are, and players witnessing games at Hilton have got to be impressed. I think bowling the endzone at the Jack will hold that sound in, and make it even louder and more impressive.
I just think the football team is kind of fragile right now and we need players to let Chizik do his thing. There's only so long that the excitement of new coaches, and slow improvement will keep people interested.

i think in terms of money - you gotta bowl in the endzone first. Football creates more revenue, and more seats (so long as they're sold with the hopes of an improving football team) means more money with which to help with rennovations and such. sound logical?

Where does the bball team practice now? I know it may sound strange but I kind of assumed it was at Hilton.

State, Beyer, Forker, pretty much anywhere they can get gym time. That is the problem, they don't have a gym to call their own. Hell, I shot baskets with them on the court at State gym or lifted weights in Beyer while they were having practices. Basketball really needs its own practice gym. While I would love to get the football stadium bowled in and have some sort of trickle down effect to the level of play on the field, I am much more optimistic in our potential for success in basketball and we have been behind the times on our basketball facilities forever. At least football has the ITF. Basketball camps get held in Forker. Forker is about 105 degrees in the summer. What kid wants to come play where they don't even have air conditioning?

Well one of the biggest things before was that the AD didn't have control of Hilton, so it cost the AD to pay money for the teams to practice in hilton. Since that isn't the case anymore that might relieve some pressure.
And as was stated that bowling in the end zone at JT first would most likely create greater income sooner for the AD in order to complete the rest of the master plan Items.

Tough decision, but I agree that it would be nice for the basketball team to have it's own practice facility away from Forker and Beyer.
Seems to me that bowling in the stadium should come once we start having problems with turning people away.
Plus I think the practice facility has a bigger impact on recruiting than bowling in the stadium. The football team has the Bergstrom Facility, basketball needs something now.

Practice facility. It will help recruiting more telling the guys they have a nice practice facility and not Beyer Hall, or state gym for the ladies. Bowling in the stadium will be nice for revenue if they sell it but it has to be practice facility for the sake of recruiting.
Is there going to be anything for gymnastics in the practice facility, we lost a great coach because of poor facilities, would hate for it to hold us back in a sport we have been doing well in lately.

Practice Facality for the BB team. While bowling in the endzone would be nice and generate more cash it would not allow JTC to seat more people that it already does. The football upgrades have been many over the past 15 years. They have been needed, but the BB team hasn't got many upgrades. The basketball team has had more sucess than the FB team yet they dont get a nice place to practice.

We all remember making fun of our little brother. And then that day came when you looked at him and thought "Crap, when did he become taller than me?" There comes a time when you just know your time has passed and it's their spotlight now.
