Which ISU sport
could we win a national title in with the least amount of investment. An other words if we decided that we wanted a national title and we were going to invest in that sport till it happened, which sport would we apply it to? Which would reap the benefit the quickest with the least investment?

Re: Which ISU sport
Probably wrestling because we used to be good at it and only like 20 colleges still do it. But since it is wrestling, 99% of the population would not care or even know about it.

The women were good this year, but being good and going all the way are different. See volleyball and women's basketball. Can we go all the way in cross country when we are under snow for 4+ months a year?

My thing about wrestling is that the coaching salaries will be much more than some of the other sports. Not sure what we are paying current coach, but we would have to get rid of him to get to a national title.

Considering the women's cross country team was ranked in the top 3 at the time of the NCAA championships, I'm going to say yes.

Well, since we've won national titles for both men and women in the past, I would think that snow doesn't have much to do with it.

Look at Wrestling under Cael. Had some really good teams, ranked real high, couldn't finish come NCAA's.

OK, it's obvious that you don't think the correct answer to your question was "Cross Country". Please enlighten us as to what the correct answer is.

I don't think that was the point of this. It's the program closest to a national title currently, and would take the least amount of investment, which was the point of this.

Re: Which ISU sport
Women's cross country has the best shot at it. Let's say a 90% chance. Women's basketball, tennis, softball, swimming and soccer have nearly zero chances to win it all.
