I was online at 12:12 today, hit refresh and filled out the info in less than 3 minutes for general admission tickets and they still sold out by the time I hit submit. I don't even think I'll try next year.

The fact that these tickets sell out so quickly makes one think they should expand the event.

I completely forgot. I had checked the link earlier this morning to make sure I had the right one to buy the tickets, then I got all distracted by work and by the time I was reminded, it was too late. Crap. Should have set an outlook reminder.

I even avoided talking about it all day or posting anything on the web just to give myself an extra edge. I still failed. Damn phone. Guess I'll have to use a computer next time. I don't think I could have filled out the info much quicker. I screwed up by having the wrong credit card ready (they don't want discover) and I didn't enter my mobile phone number so I had to go back and do that. Still kind of ****** about it.

i love the publicity of the event and all that since I'm in the hog industry and own pigs, I just wasn't blown away by it either last year. Probably because I always eat bacon and pork and have an good supply of it.

For the city people it's great. You get to see that bacon can go with anything. And eat all you want of the samples.

I'll just sit at home with a plate of bacon and some ice cold beer and have just as much fun.

They have...every year. This started out at 150 people at High Life Lounge. Move to venues like Capital Square and Scottish Rite downtown DM (and maybe some other venues?) every year increasing the # of tix sold. Doesn't seem to matter. Always sells out. This year to the Iowa State Fair, bigger venue, more tix same result. SOLD OUT in minutes.

I think it expanded from 4000 tix to 8000 tix this year. I was online at 12:12 as well and got 4. I didn't think much of it till I started to see how many people were online as well and didn't get it. They probably need to go to two days, or Friday night plus Saturday.
