Shocked that Royce isn't higher.

Knott for sure, although Royce was a close 2nd for me.

Re: VOTE: For Cyclone of the Year, 2012
Much tougher choice than I thought. Hard to vote against Betsy and a national championship. But to do so you have to not vote for an Olympic gold medalist. It is clear that Knott will become a Cyclone icon (unless he pulls a "royce"). Too bad that Klein has to have such a great year in the shadow of Knott's drama.
This is a great list. -

I don't see CLONECONES on the list....????
Knott gets the nod from me.

Have to go with the national champion.

Re: VOTE: For Cyclone of the Year, 2012
I think people who are voting for Knott for 2012Cyclone of the year are wrong. He obviously had an all time great career at ISU, but his accomplishments this year were less due to injury. Nothing wrong with Knott not winning this "award" because he'd be in the argument for all time great Cyclone athletes, but looking at just this year I don't think there's any question it's Royce. Gold medals and national championships are great but they were in non-major sports. Royce brought us back to relevance in basketball, brought us back to the Big Dance, made Cyclone basketball fun again, and absolutely dominated the second half of the season as well as two games on a national stage in the tourney. Without his recent issues I don't think there's any question Royce wins this in a landslide.
Vote Royce White, and Go Cyclones!!!

Betsy won a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP INDIVIDUALLY
That's my vote.

Royce White's first 10 seconds against UCONN are probably 10 of my favorite in all ISU basketball.

Gonna write-in a vote here for Kristen Hahn.
They say that English surnames came from what you did with your life. I'm so glad my last name isn't Dickinson. -
Re: VOTE: For Cyclone of the Year, 2012
Really hard for me to go against Royce with how he changed ISU basketball and Betsy with her national championship. Had to go with Knott though. He just epitomizes what it means to be a Cyclone.

Not saying the other athletes aren't, but Knott emphasizes it a lot more.
