    Looking for outdoor ice rinks aound the Des Moines Area. Any sugestions where I should be looking?

    There's one downtown. It isn't free, though. Doubt there are any free ones other than ponds.

    Agree. Ponds are about your only choice. City of Ankeny somewhat maintains the pond for skating that is just north of the bandshell
    Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.
