Edward Kemboi: beastmode over 1000m in NYC!
Edward Kemboi just shredded the competition and set yet another school record at the Armory Collegiate Invitational in New York. The "who's who" of track and field are there for this meet and he's representing CyclONE Nation in an outstanding manner! M 1000 H05 (Champ) | 2013 Armory Collegiate Invitational | Flotrack -

That's awesome! Thanks for posting.
My favorite part of it is when he's done he shakes a few of the other competitors hands and then walks away like he had just gone for a walk in the park while everyone else is doubled over and gasping for air. Unbelievable. He had a lot left in him it appears.

He would've broken 2:20 with legitimate competition. His running form is almost perfect too. There's almost no up and down, just straight forward. Just awesome.

Wow. Watching the first quarter it looked like he was pretty relaxed and running easily. When he decided to go, it was on. Nice run!

Has Iowa State ever developed an american male under Corey Ihmels?
He may be a great womens coach but any success he's had from males has been from foreign talent -

Top to bottom from recruiting $ to training to results. He goes to Kenya (and Germany) every year but where does he go in the US for men? The best was Kiel Uhl but not sure you can say Ihmels developed him.
Part of it is Title IX related but last I checked ISU was 57% male so the numbers should not be that far off.
Ihmels needs to show the guys some reward for all their hard work and show them how he became a champion. Everything he has done from bringing Lisa Uhl back as a "volunteer asst." to having the entire team report back early from break because of a female recruit is pointed at the women's team only.

I ask because you've posted roughly the same thing (with the same IP address) on letsrun.com: Iowa State's Bill Bergan Invitational: Notable Results
Is there a point to posting your observation here on a post about Cyclone student-athlete Edward Kemboi? Were you not allowed to run on the team because you weren't fast enough, and hold a bitterness towards ISU's Big XII and Midwest Region coach of the year?

I agree 100% that he cares more about the women than the men. If I'm not mistaken hes been the mens coach longer than the women and theyre lightyears ahead of the men. Some people are just good coaches for certain genders. Corey Ihmels is a good womens coach. He's a bad mens coach. Jamie Pollard should do those men on the team a favor and get them a real coach. It's the least he can do since they all pay full tuition since all their money goes to worthless foreigners (save 1 out of every 5) -

I did post that on letsrun. Am I not allowed to share my thoughts on multiple sites?
I ran for Coach Ihmels a few years ago and didn't improve in the least bit. I hold no bitterness as I got an opportunity that many do not get to have but I am entitlied to my opinion of the man and it's that he is not a good male coach.
He is Big 12 and Midwest coach of the year for Women. He is a great womens coach but a terrible mens coach.
Read my response to PDXCLONE for more of my insight on the program

Do you have records or first-hand knowledge of this? If so, you should report these NCAA violations immediately. These are serious allegations. Before you do that though, do a Google search for these two items: "libel" and "defamation of character."
The facts are this: If you're not fast enough to get a scholarship, you're not going to get one, regardless of how hard you work. If you're running 1:48, 3:45 or 14:00 and you're not getting some tuition, then you have a beef. Anything else is just misdirected bitterness and pipe-dreaming.

Edward is a GREAT guy so let's not take anything away from him and his accomplishments.
But to Messi's point, even Ihmel's bio on Cyclones.com only talks about the women's team accomplishments. Not one mention of the men's team. Only two men are mentioned: All-American Kiel Uhl and four-time All-American Hillary Bor.

Did/do you run for Ihmels?

I can tell that you're irrational just from the brief statements you've made here. If you were due money, based on your skill, you would've gotten it. It's not his fault you didn't improve.
