One of the nice things about CycloneFanatic is the ability to have a wide variety of discussions with the freedom to discuss nearly everything Cyclones related (and more). Recently, a number of new commitment threads have been closed due to premium information being leaked - directly or in a subtle manner.
In the event you do have some information on a commitment that could be perceived as premium information, please include a link to the public source you have obtained the information from. If your source is not online, you may be asked by a moderator to give more details about the information provided in order to ensure premium information is not being divulged here.
If members would like threads discussing recruiting and commitments to continue to be allowed at CycloneFanatic, the moderating team suggests you obey site rules and not divuldge premium information. This includes any and all subtle hints. This is not only out of respect for premium sources, but for the well-being of CycloneFanatic as well. Any post revealing premium information before it is made public will be reviewed by the moderating team and may result in losing some or all site privileges for that member.
Again, our goal is to maintain a place of open conversation while at the same time ensuring CycloneFanatic rules are followed.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

I would simply like to add that there are situations (i.e. Bo Williams) where the commitment is known about for quite some time before it become public. There are times when sources may ask me, us or others not to let certain information become known for a set amount of time to protect either the individuals involved or the school and their likelihood of landing said recruit when all is said and done.
It might not be obvious but a lot of coaches, recruits, players and other individuals with a stake in the process visit CycloneFanatic and other sites and it's not always in the best interest of Iowa State or the parties involved for information to become public at certain times. While we try and let everything go through without a problem, there are times when we may be trying to keep things quiet for a certain amount of time for a reason.
Just as sometimes things get through that we've been asked not to allow, the same goes for other recruiting sites. Not always is something supposed to be public when it's made available by any given site or service and thus we still have to abide by the request to keep things on the down low. It's nothing that we have to do for legal reasons - its something we do out of respect for the parties involved that have far more at stake than a few words on a message board.
Thanks,
Jeremy Lind

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player. |
