Step aside..... Summer of 1966 with a B.S. in Industrial Administration. Minors in Accounting and Statistics. Used them both for 36 years before retirement.

May 2007 - BS Technical Communication

Still at my first job out of the box, writing software documentation for a company in Austin. Nothing in my coursework gave me any insight into working with engineers. I spent most of time learning document design - which I am only minimally involved in right now.

Minor in Latin. Definitely not getting much mileage out of that one.

Finance Officer for Ag loan company in WDM
Marketing advisor, sell crop insurance, developed and marketing farm breakeven software.

Was a ME my first two years at ISU and decided that, since I was going to farm and make big bucks, I should change my major to Ag Business for studies more pertinent for farming. Farming gig lasted 2 yrs and then worked managing Coops for 12 yrs before I realized no money there and moved on to current job.

Oh the money I've left on the table for switching majors..........

had to transfer from ISU to UNI to give my liver a break in 87. Graduated from UNI in 89 with a management degree. I now own a sales rep agency with one employee - me.

Edit: I should point out that I hated it by the time I was finished and the only reason I got the degree is because I was so close. Now I'm in grad school for Biochemistry. I'm proud of my ISU degree but it would have been a lot simpler if it was in something else...
