Do you guys know where I can find a remote that can be plugged into my computer so that I can run my TV by a program on my computer?

I am not quite sure what you are looking for. Do you have a TV tuner in your PC and you need a remote for that?

If you get a Haupauge TV tuner card they come with an IR remote extender.

Is your remote IR or RF?
I know there are IR blaster type things that can do this. I don't know so much about RF ones.

I want to run my computer from my TV using the remote. That way I can track CF and watch games and never leave the couch.

I want a way to control my wife using the computer.

buy a computer with Windows Media Center and you're set. This is what i have, and it does exactly what you want - plus it acts as a free Tivo.

Arrived in STL via Ames, IA & Bloomington, IN!

I use my computer for a TV with a 32 inch TV and a Kenningston wireless. With Multimedia and wireless, I run the TV from my couch. That is why my typing is so bad from 15 feet away. I switch to air HD, run cable TV, run websites all at the same time. Not as good as Brianhos with his two monitors though. I can watch taped shows same time as I am Tivoing. I can back up and rewatch scenes as replays anytime. My photos, videos, music , eyeball Skype, XBOX stuff, is down from the library couch. Life of Riley.

Have you ever considered getting a permanent shunt put into your stomach, and a colostomy bag, so you will never have to leave the couch again?

The question is, where do you keep your RealDoll(tm)?
