No, the two guys that all the haters on this site dislike do not run that site anymore. They sold it back to Scout.com.

That might be a little different than what happened.

Might be a little different, if you have information, please share.

I'm fairly certain that both got checks and neither are publishers on the site now. They were either bought out or sold it, but the end result is the same.

Personally - I've heard ZERO that suggests anyone got paid to relinquish said website.

I've heard plenty to suggest that the words "don't let the door hit you..." may have been used. Not to say that the former proprietors didn't try to get paid.

Nothing "inside". But why pay for a name when it doesn't go where you'd expect it to....

I'm going to stay out of it but it's fair to say that sometimes people like to spin the truth to hide the fact that they were fired. Not always does somebody decide to leave on their own, sometimes a franchise can forcibly replace somebody that runs one of their franchise locations. Throw in the fact that sometimes individuals operate "businesses" that violate another entity's copyrights (i.e. by using the term Cyclone somehow in one's name without licensing the use of such copyright) knowingly against the legal warnings from the copyright holder.

Of course I have inside information but will not get into it for obvious reasons. Let's just say that I would support Alford coaching at Iowa State before I'd ever give a penny to the two that ran that site. I've heard a lot of stories from former employees, customers and people at businesses and within the University and I was shocked to hear some of the things I've heard.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

The information that you've heard is incorrect.

Well - I think your's is. And I know I have far more faith in mine than I do in you.

Re: cyclone nation

The dynamic duo didn't really have a say in the matter regarding their departure. Scout did. Source of this information? Scout themselves.

We're not haters, we just strongly dislike those that take advantage of others, take money and don't provide the product promises - and - are much bigger fans of other teams than they are ISU. I don't know one, not even one single former employee of theirs that has any good things to say about them. None.

If that does make us haters though - put me near the top of the list. I hope their latest venture falls flat on its face - which so far it is.

Exactly. Scout owns the use of their name and services. The only thing they don't own is the CN name. So why pay for a name that has nothing to do with Scout and points at a different endeavor?

Simple: Butt - meet curb.

Re: cyclone nation

Allow me to remind you of this...

The man typed this on CN, clicked submit and then didn't back down from it at all when questioned about it. If that's a guy you or anyone else wants to "defend", more power to ya I guess. Your tolerance for slap-in-the-face and money-grabbing is far greater than mine.

I've enjoyed you as a poster, ISUAlum. But we'll always disagree on this, venomously.

So how did (insert person we're NOT talking about here) get a show on Mediacom? Not that it's great television, but does he talk a good game to people?

Change is the only constant in the universe, which is why I empty my pockets every day.

For instance, I agree w/ Deace on about 50% of things he says on his radio show. However, from what you guys are saying it sounds like his a hypocrite. He doesn't deliver what he promises, and treats his employees badly. Thanks guys for changing my view of Steve Deace completely, and making me see him for who he really is.
