There has been a lot of discussion on whether or not Cy will be getting a makeover next year with a darker colored costume. We now have our answer from a picture posted on cyclones.com for Lil' Clone Zone.
A darker Cy with the new logo on the chest.

its got my vote. Anything to give us more of the regal old cy is a positive. I was there in roughly 1989 at an ISU vs. OU bball game when they "cloned" old cy and came up with "clone" the scraggly big stuffed animal that was the first generation of what we have today. What a sad day... | |

I am one of the few who still prefer the old vintage cy...that guy is very classic. But this is an improvement and I have no complaints. Shocking. | |

Clone left something to be desired, sure, but it was a step in the right direction-- away from the old sway-backed Cy that left the good men and women of the mascot squad in traction after an event. The new Cy is so much better.
