Things are very quiet in Ames

JP hasnt been in the news much well since the Iowa game. It sounds like Jon Miller had to work at getting him on his show. When he was on he didnt say much new. He usually keeps ISU in the eye of the media somehow. Maybe he is letting the teams do the talking.

Maybe he has something up his sleave and a big announcement coming up that will be good for ISU sports.

Re: Things are very quite in Ames

It has been way to quiet lately. There has been a lot of smoke about the second deck in the south end-zone. I think he got a major donor and is just trying to dot the i's and cross the t's.

I smell a fire.

From a pretty reliable source that is exactly the case. It is not a sure thing but is a very serious possibility. And as far as which has more priority or will get done first, the bball practice facility or end zone project, it is basically up to any donor to decide what they want to make a lead and possible naming rights donation towards.

As much as I love MBB I would love the end zone project so much more than a sweet practice facility.

I told him I'd give all my CyBookie credits for the bowl, but the upper deck had to have Cyclone Fanatics on the facade

Practice? You're talking about practice? (Allen Iverson) I would prefer stadium improvements over practice facilities. Practice can happen in McDermott's driveway as far as I'm concerned.

I'm sure recruits would love that, facilities is very important for recruiting, players love State Gym .

What I have heard is about one donor being close. In a roundabout way have been told not to name names and probably is good. What I have heard is there is serious communications and a meeting this week, what will come out of it nobody knows for sure yet.
