First off, Iowa State is sponsored by Nike, which means they're pumping funds into the athletic department. Some people said they don't care what our uniforms look like as long as we win - well guess what? If having Nike pump $$$ into the athletic department means an extra stripe or two on the hat, so be it.

Second - I'm sure nationwide this style hat has sold better that the plain hats that you clamor for. Which do you think will take priority?

Third - do you honestly believe for a second that there WON'T be a plain cardinal hat? The bookstore received it's first shipment of product. Do you honestly think this is the only shipment that they are going to receive? The only product line they're going to receive?

I just have to say... I LOVE the richer cardinal color of this shirt, it may be perhaps a bit darker than we'll see on uniforms and other clothing, but it sure beats the bright reds of the late 90s early 00's...

Yeah dude, wow, it's the first shipment of stuff from Nike. There will be more styles once they send them out. No worries. Nike elite gear is awesome.

wow, we have spring game t-shirts? In the mid 90's when I was there most of didn't even realize there was a spring game! Good to see the program...and fan support moving forward

Don't kill me for saying this...I DO like the new logo...I DO like the fact that we have reverted back to our school colors...

But I just don't like the multi (is it 4 colors) color scheme of our logo. I know it is supposed to give it a three dimensional look but I wish it were just two colors...even if it appeared flat. Just our two school colors would have been perfect!

Just my opinion...

I love the new gear. Have to contain my excitement until the fitted hats come out, and to Lenny25's point, they strip the striping. I agree it looks cool, but it's definitely a "coaches hat" look. It looks good with a jersey or other gear on, but I would prefer a "cleaner" look to wear with just regular clothes. Although with how awesome they look, I'll probably get both. Hope they get more in before summer so I can sport it in AZ!
