We'll be there again--but we probably won't be competing for the team title. Last year we were in the top 3 for the first 4 rounds, then the beer hit us and it was downhill. We were the j-holes that was standing up during the "musicals" round (Jeff Johnson was leading our efforts). I think the tables around us were po'd.

Our team name again this year is Snowball's Chance.

What other types of topic's was it all about last year? Just not really sure what all I'm getting myself into!

Only 10 of the 80 total questions were about ISU athletics. The rest of it was general -- showtunes, famous firsts, music, movies, duos, around the house (helped to have women on your team for that one), etc.

I'd absolutely love to do it with with some friends, but I just can't justify spending that much money. Maybe next year.

For $50 last year, you got:

(1) T-shirt
(2) FREE BEER (I heard they had other beverages, too)
(3) Hot and cold snacks/appetizers
(4) At least 2 Happy Joe's pizzas for each team

And that's the stuff I can remember. Item #2 may be the reason for the cloudy memory.

To be fair, it IS almost 1:00 on a Monday. Isn't that just past Beer:30 for everyone?

I also hear that there are 45+ tables this year. I don't know who the 45 ISU "celebrities" will be, but if this event gets any bigger they'll be pulling my old Physics proffesor out of retirement.

I'd be going if it were any other night than the day of the Spring Game. I expect to be sleeping off the morning's drunkeness by that evening.
