Thanks everybody! 22, the bases were loaded and I went over there thinking that any kind of hit or even a long fly ball and there would be some kind of play at the plate. I still haven't managed a home plate play yet this year. So, even though Alex ruined that with a HR I got lucky and had the ball barely in the frame.

Ian, all are with a 70-200mm except the last two which are with the 300mm. The 300 is usually too big for softball since both my bodies have the .625 sensor size. Works great for portrait type shots, though.

Holy crap, good thing there wasn't a Cybookie with an over for R/H/E. Rally's like that are awesome when you're playing baseball or softball.

All 3 of Johnson's HR this year have been grand slams. Something to think about next time she's up with the bases loaded.

Very good job, drum!! Have you been at most of the other games?? I know the who the AP and the Ames Trib guys are but there are usually a couple other guys that have been at most of the games that might be shooting for the daily.

I started out on my stool on the first baseline beyond the visitors dugout but that wind was so strong I wound up getting back on the ground behind the backstop so we were probably standing next to each other part of the time.

I've been at every one I can attend - I usually hang out near our bench but came over to the south side later in the game. I figured it was you in the blue but wasn't sure. I'm not packing as much heat as the rest of you all, mostly because it's all my own gear and I'm still in college ;) Just a D80 with an 18-200. Going to be there this weekend?
