I really wish people would buy into the University ring concept. Some of the ring stories I hear from the Aggies are awesome (like losing the ring while on a tour of duty in Japan, having another Aggie find it in a pawn shop, and buy/ship it back to the States with his own money). Would be nice to have a sense of family like that with Iowa State. Problem is ISU is known for its ag school. Unless you are thinking about stories like: lost ring...and finger...while working on the auger, son found it years later while cleaning out the bin before he left for his first year at ISU.

I was thinking more along the lines of Billy Crystal in "City Slickers" when he lost his watch.

I like the style, I just can't justify parting with $800 to get something I'm probably never going to wear.
(maybe something to spend credits on?)

Just go somewhere (Amerigem) and have them design one you do like. It may even be cheaper (you dont need 18k gold, it can be a little soft anyway).
I don't have one, I can barely keep my wedding ring on (especially in scrip clubs). I wish Jostens did ISU because I think for a pretty reasonable price they will redo HS class rings into college.

I would pass on the class ring. This is not the 1980s anymore.

I had an ISU ring, but some short little guys with hairy feet from the neighborhood stole it from me, something about throwing it into a volcano...Fredo?
Personally, I just think they were jealous. Jealous of my precious.
