My daughter started college with 28 credits because of AP and/or Community College credits for classes she took at Ankeny High School, and most of the decent sized schools are the same-you don't need a diploma to start accumulating college credits.

Of course she didn't do it to graduate early, no siree, she'll barely make it out in 4 years

Mind the gap!

I wonder how many kids are able to this nationwide on an annual basis? I would not think too many. ISU should spin this and get some good PR from it.

My understanding is that it's not to rare. Most of them go to more prestigious schools like Harvard, Yale, etc., so it's kind of foreign to ISU.

good for him. i hope he cures cancer and invents a car that runs on water. oh wait, classical studies? his parents never got him a WWSHD (what would stephen hawking do) bracelet?

oh well, he'd probably agree that we're just a naked floating brain in space and that everyone needs a hobby.

Of course, that biophysics B.S. he got might come in handy some day, too!

I heard from a friend that has this kid in one of their classes that he is throwing of the grade curve in their class. Everyone else in the class gets hurt because of 'genius boy'.

That's another CYCLONE.....FIRST DOWN!!!!

You mean the other four students in the class?
What happened to personal responsibility?

Hmmm. So the "bad guy" is the guy who actually does the work? My heart bleeds for them....

Sounds like your friend has just learned a "life lesson". Socialize less, study harder.
