I thought the "good news" was the announcement of the JT reentry policy. Anything more than that is just gravy.

I'm with you - i heard from a source inside the State building department that the architect for the phase II project had contacted him in the last two weeks and said they would be seeing each other on phase II very soon. That does not take place when a project is in the 5 year plan - My guess is the university has secured a large donor and that phase II will be started after football ends this year!!!!

So the Gridiron club is having their golf outing tomorrow in Ankeny at a certain persons golf course. That certain person probably has the money to make a nice size donation to I-State if they chose to do so. I'm not saying tomorrow is the day but I don't think it is out of the question that it could happen.

While he's at it he can make a donation to me. I will name my car after him or something. Also he can let me be the 2nd member of his course for free.

..... of course with the other big story floating around right now, maybe now wouldn't be the best of times to break this. I know the two aren't related in any way, but if the news we think this could be were to come true I would want to celebrate big time, but in light of the other happenings going on in the sports world in Iowa, I just don't feel in much of a celebratory mood.
