From the 2008 Pocket Schedule:

Cardinal Rules Day -- September 6th vs. Kent State
Gold Rules Day -- October 18th vs. Nebraska

I think the shirts this year have no back, they are just more of a "default" look.

Does anyone know if the new jerseys are on sale at the bookstore yet? I've seen the all Cardinal women's jersey at Scheel's, but not the men's jersey.

for people wondering, the bookstore seems to have some good new stuff too including the jerseys. (I had to get it from there because Cy's Locker Room was sold out of XL jerserys)

Yeah, they've got everything that's been posted so far. I bought the gameday shirt and ALMOST got the one with the football looking thing on the back, but decided to wait.

Correct. The athletic department is going to be using the Cardinal Rules and Gold Rules (apparently it's no longer "Golden Rules"...?) shirts in more sports than just football. They'll be promoting them all year long, in multiple venues. Hence, they are not tied to a specific game.

I agree, but it the overall shirt was too cool to pass up. At least the colors are correct and there is no blue.

All I'm going to say is 95% of the new merchandise has the I-State logo on it, and it looks cool. But why can't there also be merchandise with the whirlybird on it?

I have a few authentic jerseys. The bad thing is this older guy just doesn't look very good in those skin tight numbers. Plus they are pretty hot.

That said I wouldn't trade my 1994 Walden era jersey for anything. The football was bad, but the beer was cold.

I'm not saying it can't have it, but at this point in my life, if I'm going to buy new Iowa State merchandise, it's going to have the new logo. I have plenty of merchandise with the whirlybird on it.

anyone think they will actually sell an authentic jersey with stitched on letters/numbers? It was hard to tell from the pictures I have seen here, but they all look like screen printed stuff.
