obscure ISU movie sighting
anyone see in Highlander in the motel there is an ISU pennant with Cy behind the desk. Hadn't seen this mentioned ever.

Re: obscure ISU movie sighting
I mentioned this once, but I think it was on CN...crazy huh?
EDIT: Actually, I guess it was on CF...but a while back: http://www.cyclonefanatic.com/forum/...ames-ia-2.html (CSI killer from Ames, IA)
It was an amazing place to find it.

In American Pie II, Stiffler has a party where two friends walk in. Stiffler asks them "How's Iowa State?"

Re: obscure ISU movie sighting
Arnold had an ISU pennant in his room on diff'rent strokes. That is about as obscure as I can remember.

Re: obscure ISU movie sighting
In Back to the Future II, there is a scene in which Biff is reading the almanac and listening to scores over the radio. One of them was Oklahoma 60 ISU 3 -- OK, maybe not quite that bad, but it was a bad blowout.

I think the Iowa State mention may have been "Oklahoma ripped Iowa State, 52 to nothing" but I'd have to watch it again to be sure.

I've always wanted to check and see if those scores were real, given that we know what date that night is.

Re: obscure ISU movie sighting
Wasn't there a really bad "guys go to tropical location for spring break and there's lots of gratuitous nudity" movie where the three main characters all went to Iowa State?
I believed in Gene Chizik and all I got was this lousy limited-edition commemorative coin. -

I remember the Highlander scene, for sure.

Re: obscure ISU movie sighting
There's also this little snippet on another game mentioned in the movie.
