Congrats Lisa!!!
Yeah, the top three broke 32:00 and I had wondered if running in a pack with someone to push her would enable Lisa to approach 32:00. I can't remember her exact time in the NCAA but it was under 33:00. The seven women ahead of her are all older athletes affiliated with either Nike or one of the other shoe companies. I think Lisa is only 20 so I bet in 2012 she is definitely in the mix to make the team, which would be very exciting!!
I'll edit this to say I looked up her best time and it is 32:11 so she is right there. Awesome!!
The week before the NCAA's, Lisa and Grace Kemmey were on the outdoor track doing 600 meter repeats and it was a lot of fun being on the same track as them.
I don't know how this started a new thread but I was trying to respond to jtm.
