He came to ISU so he could get a job like IU. Let's hope he gets some results here before he bolts.

I think it's way too early for him to leave. He has a lot of projects in the works and none have been finished. He has certainly made a world of difference but the results on several key initiatives are still out so it's hard to judge him fully for a couple more years.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player. |

I think Pollard has too much invested in ISU projects to just bolt at this time.
| Chizik: "One thing that I’d encourage our fans… I want them to be the loudest stadium in the Big 12. I don’t care… I want Jack Trice stadium to be the loudest in the Big 12 and I think that creates homefield advantage.... I want to stress to everyone…I want this place to be juiced up. They bought 36,000 season tickets so there is a passion there…don’t hide it… let it out. I want there to be a passion in the stadium."

If he bolts... the new AD will sure have a lot on their plate!

Thank you Wes Johnson for the great 2 years you gave Iowa State. Wish you could've stayed. Best of luck to you, wherever you end up.
"The one thing I really want to say is to tell the fans thank you for everything," Johnson said. "You rooted for me, you were behind me with my injury, and I really appreciated that."

I hope not. We need him - he's doing one heck of a job.

Basketball expectations are way too high (even Knight fell off big-time his last five years there), and their budget doesn't do justice to all of their sports. Outside of maybe NW, it's the most challenging AD job in the Big Ten; a step down from Iowa State.

We all remember making fun of our little brother. And then that day came when you looked at him and thought "Crap, when did he become taller than me?" There comes a time when you just know your time has passed and it's their spotlight now.

He has things left to accomplish here. He has said he is a builder. There are things left to build. He'll always have job opportunities. He is good and people know it.

If JP is offered the job and goes so be it - nothing for us to do. I used to think that losing Gene Smith would be the worst thing for ISU and it did prove that like any job if you make a hiring mistake (BVD) it's bad but then we got JP. ISU has a load of potential and there are others out there that would love a chance to take up where JP left off.

I don't see IU as the kind of job he'd want. Too many hyper-expectant fans for a "builder".

Indiana is a school that is THANKING GOD for the Big Ten's equal revenue sharing $$ - otherwise they would never make it at the level they're at.
