Re: Ames Police Investigating Man's 3-Story Fall
I don't know why everyone is so concerned about whether or not he was drunk. Of course he was. He is in college and its a weekend night.
Whether he was drunk or is just a clutz, feel bad for him all the same and hope he recovers.

Prediction: One person cracks a joke and then a greek/non-greek war breaks out and the thread gets closed before 8PM.

What I was trying to stay away from is this so called "brotherhood" the greek system pimps out why one of his "brothers" potentially did not keep an eye on him when either they were likely out drinking with them or saw his condition when they returned. Like I said, in my last post without stating where I lived, when I was in the dorms if my roommate or neighbor came home drunk enough that I thought he might pass out in a bad spot or hurt himself cuz he could barely walk straight you hung out with them to make sure they were going to be ok and didn't do something stupid. Was kind of friends looking after friends thing. In the same sense if this kid was bad enough that he fell out of a window you'd think someone would have seen him before this to keep an extra eye on him.
Sorry, I probably just cast the first stone and I was trying not too but I couldn't help to sit here and not explain what I was sort of hinting at before... -

If his buddies would have called Barta, Mason and KF, this could have avoided the media.

Re: Ames Police Investigating Man's 3-Story Fall
Wow that is assuming a lot that nobody knows.
Anyways, if alcohol was involved, which it probably was, my guess is Farmhouse could be in some very hot water.
*Sidenote- I've been out of school for 2 years and (Delt4cy) is what I called myself when I had the "Greek" boner. I have no insight into the issue and in no way am I saying that people at Farmhouse are at fault.

September 7, 2008--Ames police are investigating how a man fell
Now as a middle school science teacher I think even my kids could figure this one out..... it's pretty simple when you think for 1 second..... gravity! -
Re: Ames Police Investigating Man's 3-Story Fall
I thought you only fell when you didn't accept god?

Did everyone miss the link I posted early in this thread. Yes alcohol was probably a factor but this kid also had a brain injury. Yes it was a long time ago but it would still be a factor.

All right, I'm trying to grasp the causality here...either it's stupid to drink when you've had a brain injury, or having a brain injury hinders your judgement enough to drink when you've had a brain injury. Which are you going for?
