If you fire Mac and the next coach keeps DRob on the staff we keep Colvin and the Chicago Ties. Maybe just maybe the new coach can talk the players into staying, but Brackins is leaving for the Draft after this year any way so that doesn't matter. Gilstrap is a one year guy who doesn't have a lot of options if we don't let him out of his scholarship, Dykrstra loves Iowa State might not leave, and who knows if a new coach helps or hurts Harrison no one know's what he is thinking.

This is a quality point. And I haven't called for anyone's job at this point. However, I am disapointed in the direction we are headed. It is early and there is plenty of time for Mac and Co. to turn things around. I just haven't seen anything that would point us to believing this is going to happen.

It will be very intersting to see what happens if HB commits elsewhere this summer if things don't change.

No where in this quote does he use the words "all in 3 years." The most important thing is "build a total program." You absolutely cannot do that in 3 years, and most people that you see who succeed in less time have inherited programs on the rise. Our program was clearly on the down hill slope.

Drake was good last year. The year before they were barely .500 and this year they probably won't get to the postseason. I get really tired of the meltdown threads as well but there is a real lack of hope with this program right now and it's not just confined to this board.

I'm not calling for heads to roll or really for anyones seat to be hot. But we are year 3 into gmac's tenure and we just are not a very good team. Drake is not that good of a team this year, frankly to anyone who watched the game last night this should be clear. We should have won that game by 10.

I normally stay away from the boards for a while after an ISU loss because I cannot stand all of the meltdown crap around here but today I could just not resist. ISU is 6-2 and people are posting around here like we have not won a game all year. ARE YOU FOR REAL???

Both the football and basketball teams are young, and therefore are going to be inconsistent. Yes, last night we lost a game that we should have won. It's going to happen more than most people can handle this year. However, we are also probably going to beat a couple of teams that we shouldn't.

This whole thing about calling for a coaches head, or even Pollards for that matter, after every loss is getting a little rediculous. My guess is that 99.9% of people on this board have never been a college coach in any sport and have no idea what it takes to build a winning program. Anyone that thought that GMac and Chiz were going to come in from day 1 and make us a national title contender in 5 years is smoking some bad stuff.
