You gotta keep things in perspective a little bit - I'm an Atlanta Falcons fan and Petrino cut out on my team in the middle of the season (how embarrassing is it when a pro team is basically used to land another college job). At least Chizik waited until the end of the season to bail on us.

Why do you think we are going to get one of the before mentioned named coaches now? Those guys are set up great to go to a big time program, not a train wreck.

If we can keep the guys we have commited and they guys we have here it could be a good job for someone to come into. The talent level is improved and young and if you can coach them up, get them bigger, faster, and stronger you can get some wins. If we avoid major defections I can see 7 wins with Chizik or without him...

I agree with this. If most of the players stay, there is some talent to build with, and we may end up thanking Chizik for it later.

I think that is crazy talk, but I'll give you props for optimism!

With 2 new coordinators next year, the current staff wouldn't sniff 7 wins, IMO.

I believe the Quote I Quoted was in a way praising GC for waiting until the end of the season.

1) I wouldn't blame Chizik if he took it.
2) I'm floored Auburn would offer it.
3) Philip Bates quit.
4) Gene would be "quitting" as well, in a different way.
5) I wouldn't blame Chizik if he took it. Wait, I said that twice.
6) Nobody is going to want this job.
7) Ticket sales will be down...thermometer or not.
8) MBB in deep trouble.
9) Losing sucks
10) We better sign the VB coach to a mega extension or she'll be somewhere too.
11) Pollard...the best AD never do accomplish anything on the field / court.
