In the all too quotable words of Rosanne Rosannadanna, "Never mind."
Happy Holidays too you.
CyValley- Happy holidays to you too, and all the Clone fans. I've got cyclonefanatic burnout after the flurry of activity the last couple of weeks. For a couple of days I'm outta here.
If you guys don't think Pollard is doing all he can, recall that while your football coach was leaving town his son was having emergency surgery and he could have just stayed at the hospital. Instead, he represented your school at the NCAA volleyball tourney and covered the hospital and the Chizik chaos, including communicating with the team, all at the same time. Then, while his son is recovering, he holds a big presser, interviews candidates and hires a new head coach all in the next week.
I think its time to back off a little and see what happens. I want wins too; but JP doesn't shoot or pass or play defense.
Merry Christmas to all of you and to the Pollards, too.
JP still has my full support.
One should never lose to SDSU in season one through three
Not acceptable if you want respect. The OWH game headline pretty much said wee are in sad times.
At the time we hired Gmac and Chizik everyone was excited and wouldnt have seen what what was coming. JP is doing a good job.
His hated predecessor, BVD, was here for 5 years and experienced 4 bowl games and 3 basketball tournaments. In Jamie's 3+ years there have been no bowl games, no basketball tournaments, a football team that went 0-8 in the conference, and a basketball team that lost to South Dakota State at home. It is 100% clear even to Jamie's most outspoken supporters that every program he has touched has gotten worse during his tenure.
Jamie's salesmanship is only going to work so long before he has to deliver some of what he's selling. Another year or two like the last two in FB and BB and the next time we see Jamie he'll be driving a truck around Ames selling satellite dishes instead of false excitement.
JP's decison to assume control of Hilton has left me cold so far. He picked Centerplate to take over concenssions from SMG and they have not been impressive - understaffing, reduced food choices, higher pricing. Also dirtier and not great service.
JP is doing fine. He was able to dump the Chiz for no money and get a coach hired. Big Mac has good recruits coming in, but he must perform by end of next full year or JP will take care of the problem. JP is doing fine. Bill Fennelly, Cael, Christie are also doing fine. Fine in my book means solving issues and problems as they arise. Some people do this better than the Chiz.
