dont know if anyone ever notice this about ISU tennis but....

they haven't beat a Big XII opponent in 7 years!!!

i thought we could complain about football and basketball but jeesh.... SEVEN years!

I read it in the ISU daily the other day and figured I'd share with all

yea I'm recently friends with a few girls on the team and in the fall they had the best record they have had in a really long time.

hopefully they can pull out a win this spring against someone

We better watch out or Auburn will be trying to steal tennis coach. This is right up there ally.

Actually its been 6 years, but that should change this weekend since the team has improved drastically over last season.

They do have a new coach this year, and as others have said, he has drastically improved the team.

Should equate to at lest one B12 win!

Yes, new head coach and assistant coach. The head coach this year was the assistant last year.

do you think they would also try to steal our tennis recruits?

I actually noticed this last year shortly after the new Tennis Coach was named. No conference wins in the last 6 years should have made the press release just to give people an overall idea of the work this guy has in front of him. Coach Espinosa is going to turn the program around! Go Cyclones!!!

I also think the women's team has made strides - this in spite of two big obstacles in the way of progress:
1. No Iowa State indoor tennis facility
2. No men's tennis program

Hopefully Jamie can get a bubble or indoor facility built soon. Otherwise, if Coach Espinoza has some success, he will leave as soon as a good offer comes along.

I have met the new coaching staff for the tennis program and they are a really good bunch. I had no idea the program was in such a hole, but these guys have the passion and expertise to get it turned around.

Well in case anyone cares, the team just broke the streak by beating kasas state 4-3
