ISU Hires Former Arkansas Softball Head Coach
Wow, I'm impressed Coach Gemeinhardt-Cesler pulled this guy in. Jamie Pinkerton Named Assistant Softball Coach - Iowa State University Athletics Official Web Site - www.CYCLONES.com - The home of Iowa State Cyclone Sports
Apparently Pinkerton just resigned from Arkansas in May Pinkerton resigns as softball coach - University of Arkansas Athletics
Here is his reasoning for stepping down
At this point in my career, I feel it is time to pursue other opportunities. I wish Arkansas softball well in the future and will always consider it an honor to have been a part of the Razorback program
Wonder what brings him here, but the guy has done pretty well as a head coach. Went to the NCAA Tourney the last 2 years and had a lot of success when he was HC at Tulsa.
He's apparently in the Team USA Coaching Pool as well. Maybe Jennie Finch will come to town
Big move by the softball team, hopefully he's able to help build some success out there

I'm sure he'll help our program, but gosh, it's not as if he voluntarily left the Arkansas HC job to take a huge pay cut and a demotion to come to Ames.

Only a lame-duck AD and lame ISU fans who don't understand that nothing matters except for football and MBB.
We are the problem. -

Who cares I would call our ISU softball program the "ultimate" non-revenue sport, as we don't even charge admission!
Even tiny Iowa high schools charge admission for softball games... -

No time for winners, for we are the losers, of the world." OK, that's more of a chorus by now. Only one way to answer this post, and I should be really sorry for doing this: ISU SPORTS SHOULD NEVER CHARGE MONEY WHILE THE LITTLE ACCOUNTANT IS HERE, BECAUSE WE WILL NEVER WIN ANYTHING, WE WILL JUST SPIN SPIN SPIN ANOTHER FAILURE INTO HOPE. Or something like that. Feel free to adjust as needed. -
