Current villain: Kansas quarterback Todd Reesing has thrown seven career TDs against the Cyclones and beaten them twice, including last season's dramatic 35-33 comeback victory.
All-time villain: Iowa coach Hayden Fry, whose homespun witticisms weren't that funny for Cyclone fans when he was winning 15 straight against them from 1983-97.

I put Woody "f#$&ing" Hayes way up on my list. Just think about what that punch he threw did to Cyclone Football for 20 years.
1.) Robert Parks then Gordon Eaton
2.) Duncan then Criner
3.) Woody Hays
4.) 2000 MSU and those refs.

Instant replay: when it came out, I said it was just one more way for the refs to screw ISU
- Touchdown catch against Ne dis-allowed
- The goal line stand against KU where you couldn't see the ball but non-TD call was overturned anyway
- Calling the tight end down in the bowl game against TCU when it was just his hand on the ground
- Interception at MU a few years ago that was dis-allowed because the ref blew his whistle
- The onside kick against aTm last year

2. Whoever the refs from the MSU game were
3. The NCAA tourney selection committee that made ISU play MSU in Michigan (probably the two best teams in the country at the time).
4. All the football coaches from 1981-1999, who allowed ISU to be so bad we are still a laughing stock.
5. Duke and Coach K, who is trying to steal our one brightspot in Iowa HS basketball history.......ok this should be #1.
Lute Olson - If he had been honest with the NCAA about Loren Woods injury in 2000, ISU would have been a 1 seed and wouldn't have had to play Michigan St in the "neutral site" of Auburn Hills. Michigan St and ISU would have been a great championship game and the officials wouldn't have felt obligated to have Michigan State win.

I have to go with Woody Hays as #1. If that would not have happened Hayden would have had a much tougher time stomping on ISU(Haydens #2 on my list).
No, I knew about the punch; it was against Clemson I think. I also knew that it got him fired, but I didn't know about the chain of events afterward. Still even after all that, didn't ISU have a chance to keep John Cooper?Quote:
