Well, that's one way to torque off Iowa State fans...
I know we all love and adore the CR Gazette's Iowa State coverage, but they took it to a new all-time low today: the front page has two Hawk stories and another teaser in the corner, the second page continues those two stories and has another hawk story, the third page has ANOTHER Hawk football story...and a story about Cael Sanderson the Penn State wrestling team. Are you serious, Gazette folks? COME ON.

I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU
Or so I have read. -

OMG! Like, they totally dissed us. How dare an eastern Iowa paper in Big 10 country not have pages and pages of ISU coverage!

I gave up on the hawkzette years ago. KCRG, KZIA, KGYM and KGAN for that matter too. Isnt it sad that after a great win I had to turn to KWWL out of Waterloo to hear about it BEFORE the Iowa game even kicked off.

That's the least they could do! I'm from closer to Dubuque, so I definitely know that I'm not going to get much, but seriously? Nothing about Iowa State, plus an article about the wrestling coach that abandoned his program?

Hey guy who lives in Grimes, he didnt say pages and pages. He said give us one freaking story. I fully expect anything ISU related to be on the back page behind the movie listings. stop over dramatizing things.

Re: Well, that's one way to torque off Iowa State fans...
Seems that I recall the Gazette used to give more even handed coverage than the reg rag. But the uofi football team is hot now, so we've got to expect this. #4 in the BCS rankings is not small potatoes. We need to win, baby, that's all. So keep that fan support and financial support coming in. It's the only way. Looks like we've got the coaches, an excellent starting point, for a change. btw, just because the Gazette has tons of uofi coverage today, doesn't mean they won't give ISU a bunch of space tomorrow. Or at least I can hope. I bleed Cardinal & Gold -

The point is, this horse has been beaten, set on fire, peed on and then beaten some more. It's not gonna change.
A definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again, expecting different results.

Re: Well, that's one way to torque off Iowa State fans...
it is what it is, it is like that on game day as well and the sunday paper, the hawks get the front page and a couple more full color pages in the middle and isu gets a little blirb on the front and a black and white page towards the end.
another issue i have is the home of the cyclones AM1600......"The Home of the Cyclones and Panthers" and on monday for their 5 minute sports report the first 4 minutes were about the hawkeyes and owe the Clones and Panthers played as well. That is bad!!!

A definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again, expecting different results. Thomas Edison tried over 10,000 ways of making a light bulb before finding succes... -

What I'm saying is that if anything is in the Ames Tribune (and there might be, I won't know until I get to class), it's not something that they would have sent their own reporter out to get. Just download it and find a spot for it.
