I haven't been to a volleyball game since high school, but I remember then that volleyball was a great spectator sport. There is no sport in the world with as many "close calls" and breath-holding moments. Plus, it is a great sport to heckle the other team.

You are forgetting the MOST important part of it being spectator friendly.

It cannot be said enough...Neb has tons of fanatics that travel in thousands to games. This is not an exageration. They really do bring thousands of big red fans to volleyball games at Hilton. They are fired up and do chants and cheer loud. And that was when they were pounding us every year. I expect them to come focused and intense on Saturday. We need to fill Hilton as much as possible. Texas was completely caught off guard by our fan intensity. Nebraska will be very ready...And bring thousands of their own fans with them. This has the makings of Cy-Hawk wrestling. Similar intensity, and tons of fans for both sides.

Tailgate before/after the game, see hot women, and take a break from studying.... Basically the only 3 things a college student should want to do on a Saturday Night.

Isn't it only a 12 hour drive or so one way?

Leave early Sat morning, get a hotel room, drive back Sunday.

I'm doing that, and I'm only 100 miles away

Would it hurt for people to buy extra tickets just to keep the Huskers out?

Sure, it would stink for them to drive and be left outside, but I can live with their disappointment. They'll be disappointed Saturday night, anyway.
