What is wrong with the old sousaphone? Whatever that is.
A sousaphone is a marching tuba. Horns don't last forever, especially when you're using them outdoors in Iowa weather for years at a time. They deteriorate fast. In the last 5 years, we've had to purchase about 10 new ones. Point being, new unis aren't usually high on the money priority list.
Green hills for thy throne, and for crown a golden melody/Ringing in the hearts of all who bring thee love and loyalty/Dear Alma Mater, make our spirits great True and valiant like the bells of I-O-WA STATE!
While we are all talking about new uniforms. If you want to see the marching band in uniforms that match the new colors donate money now, it will take around $200k, they are working on the fund and it's slowly rising but are a long ways away.
