Re: ISU Athletic Stadiums Re-Name?
How about a Hooters field goal net! -
Re: ISU Athletic Stadiums Re-Name?
Some thing they could do since JTS and Hilton are so close they could do is call it XXX sports complex. KC has the Truman sports complex and the stadiums still have their own names.

I would think Pioneer has the inside track on the basketball court, since they have their logos on both sides. If they ever decide to name the court, I would believe it will be either Johnny Orr Court or Bill Fennelly Court.

I'd be okay with renaming that, though I doubt many companies would be interested in buying the naming rights to it.
"Blamo"! The new CF approved swear word. -
Re: ISU Athletic Stadiums Re-Name?
You would think getting your name on the south end zone of JTS would be good publicity. You could get your name in bright lights looking towards University Ave and Highway 30.

Re: ISU Athletic Stadiums Re-Name?
Hell, im not sure id care if they renamed the stadium and made it 'jack trice field'. Just like how everyone still calls Principal Park 'sec taylor', and many still call University Blvd Elwood, many would still call it jack trice. If the money's right, do it.

Re: ISU Athletic Stadiums Re-Name?
I absolutely hate the big green Pio ******* neer logo on the Hilton court, so there are my feelings on corporate naming/signage.

Re: ISU Athletic Stadiums Re-Name?
I heard once that bowling in the endzone was going to double as practice facilities for various sports. It was a while ago and it could be pure rumor. If that was the case, I could see it being named. I don't think a company would go for naming the seating area alone. Hy-Vee would be great especially if they could sell their stuff at the stadiums.
Shouldn't touch JT or Hilton. If we got a new basketball arena I would be okay for a rename but from now on Iowa State football should play in a stadium named Jack Trice.
What about the Cyclone Fanatic Endzone Section. Could we rake up enough scratch to pull that off. I would be in for $5.

Re: ISU Athletic Stadiums Re-Name?
if the demand was there for the extra seating....the funding would be coming from ticket sales....allowing the name to remain.
i dont even like jack trice field at ___________ stadium. its not necessary.

I think a bowled in stadium is a little off target. A bowling league team sponsorship, maybe. Bowling in an endzone, no.
