Connecting laptop to TV
Okay, so I would like to connect my laptop to my TV for streaming video, mainly for clonezone type stuff. The little 2" by 3" images are just a little to small for my aging eyes for 2 hours.
In talking with radioshack and Best Buy, they say I need to buy a $100 converter. Not buying this. Is there a simpler way? Can I just get the right cable converters?
Want to get this done before the Nebby/ISU game tonight.

Re: Connecting laptop to TV
What inputs does your TV have and what outputs does your laptop have?

Re: Connecting laptop to TV
My TV has S-Video, HDMI, and the yellow/red/white pins. My laptop has the blue colored monitor output.

Re: Connecting laptop to TV
Sounds like you have S-Video at best.
Get an S-Video cable and connect to TV. Go into control panel on the laptop and switch the monitor to your TV and you are in business.
You'll have to full screen the broadcast to get it "large" on your TV.

or this if your video card doesn't support the previous: http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2 -

Thanks for the help. Ordering the converter. Not gonna have it for tonight, but just can't justify the $99 price at Radio Shank and Bust Buy. I sprung the extra $5 for 2 - day shipping so I can try it out this weekend.
