From what I just heard, this was planned for awhile now. He and JP never got along.

I agree Judd is a great guy, but I doubt he'd take the job if offered for reasons I won't elaborate on. By the way, he resigned today also.

All I'm saying is Jay is also a great guy. He worked hard to turn that program around. He had some bad luck with a horrific car accident where 2 of his best players were hurt and he did a lot for them.....above and beyond.

Sorry, but when people say things about him that aren't true, then I'm going to stand up for a friend of mine.

Who said bad things about who? What are you talking about?

Judd has a pretty good gig at Legacy, I really doubt he takes a serious look.

Who is the hot P90X chick over on the left? Is she a candidate for golf coach?

Judd hasn't been affiliated with The Legacy for a couple of years.

Re: ISU men's golf coach Jay Horton resigns

Please do not rely on your PGA directory in this one, as it may say the same in mine if I bothered to look at it. He has not taught at The Legacy since he started at ISU. This is 100% fact.

Thanks for making my point. Judd hasn't been at the Legacy for at least 2 years. He's been the assistant golf coach at ISU. At least try to know what you're talking about before you just start typing stuff. You use a professional golfer for your name and then you don't even know who the golf coaching staff is at ISU. But it doesn't deter you from typing a bunch of stuff you know nothing about. Not surprising.

Kind of what I was wanting to say as well Coachfran! Was just going at it a little differently.

Re: ISU men's golf coach Jay Horton resigns

I'm loving all the passion for the golf program.

I hope JP is working the phones tonight. Hopefully we can get a new coach hired by the end of the week. Maybe John Walters will have an update on the search tonight on the local news.

I don't think its that big of a deal that he thought Judd was assistant and worked at legacy. That isn't really a terrible mistake to make. The things people are saying about Coach Horton are much worse.
