Last Ditch Meaningless Gestures

So as a fanbase, perhaps it's time to be developing our own un-official contingency plans in the event of a complete Big XII collapse. If it happens, I think we've all come to terms with the fact that the case for our athletics and academics has been made and it's not going to be convincing enough. When the announcement comes it will be the time for one last, most likely meaningless, attempt to catch a major conferences eye before we say goodbye to life in a BCS conference. Since it's unlikely the Big Ten, Pac-10 or even Big East will be launching any online polls to decide which schools get invited, I am suggesting we resort to our other greatest strength:

THE TAILGATE-A-THON FOR ISU

Thoughts?

Sooooo. in a tailgate-a-thon. I assume callers pledge money, and then a rag tag bunch of tailgaters drive over to the caller's house and start playing beer pong and bags on their lawn?

I was thinking more like gradually increase number of tailgaters until enough people are there that ESPN has to at least bother to mention us when talking about conference expansion.

I see. But won't all this happen before the season starts? Shall we all just tailgate in Bristol, Connecticut this summer?

Or where are the Big Ten offices located? Indianapolis?

If the Big 12 is going to disband and ISU is going to be screwed, I believe we act. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.

I say we make C-Willy organize, I'm sure CF stands to hurt if ISU isn't in a BCS conference.

Or, if he refuses, surely there's a slightly less classy ISU-related website that would be willing to take on this stupid, perhaps illegal, endeavour.
