    It makes me sad to say this because it was one of my favorite sayings, but "the boys not wearing the gold pants anymore" just isn't accurate. It breaks my heart to say that.

    Maybe we can change it to Walden/Duncan/Criner aren't roaming that sideline anymore, or the boys' helmets don't have the "cursive" Cyclones on them anymore, or something along those lines?

    Let me get this straight, they are not wearing the gold pants next year? Or am i missing something?

    That's my point. The saying, "they don't wear the gold pants anymore" came around when the football team started to become relevant under McCarney. They no longer wore gold pans as they did under Walden.

    They now wear gold pants again, so the phrase just isn't accurate anymore.
