Re: CF Mailbag: 7-1 Edition
My favorite Wayne Morgan media moment:
During the taping of his coach's show with John Walters (I think a week or two after the Iowa game when John Neal saved the day), John was previewing what was about to be played.
JW: Next we have an interview with John Neal--the best thing to come out of Winterset since John Wayne.
WM: (Astonished look on his face). WHAT!?!? YOU SERIOUS?!?!
JW: (With a look on his face that we all would have thinking that this little fact is common knowledge) Ummm, yeah. Here's the interview.
WM: John Wayne, WOW!
Freaking hilarious.

Big Country Bash was a muddy mess C-Swift. Ankle deep all day. You would have thrown you flippy floppies out right away. Good time though. They were serving beer. As long as you do that a good time will be had by all.
I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU
Or so I have read. -
Re: CF Mailbag: 7-1 Edition
Chris -- we will be in Bradyville with a side trip to New Market on the 4th and may pass through Clarinda too. Doesn't that sound like a fun road trip.

Re: CF Mailbag: 7-1 Edition
Wayne Morgan is the author of perhaps the best quote of all time. Following a win over then #25 Colorado in February, 2006, the Captain pulled this one out when discussing his young post guys Shawn Taggart and Jiri Hubalek.
"It's like playing Pacman or Galaxia; at first you have to put in several quarters, then after a while you put in less and less quarters, until eventually you play with one quarter and get a top score." -

Still like Larry's comment about Homan protecting his prize cow after that thug Harrison for Colorado went after Eustachy.
Also, during Floyd's last year, he was giving the radio crew props for sitting at the scorer's table without protection, for the guards on the court could whip a pass into their faces at any moment.

"It's just another gym."
That or Kenny Pratt:
"I'm colder than a mother ****** in a flip flop."

Re: CF Mailbag: 7-1 Edition
GeronimusClone writes: You have a sack full of quarters and an afternoon to kill. Do you: 1) Go to an arcade and play Dance Dance Revolution until your legs give out? 2) Fill the parking meters in Des Moines and leave notes that say “Free parking courtesy of CycloneFanatic”? 3) Sit in with Matt Perrault and continuously give him a quarter while saying “here’s a quarter, buy a clue”? 4) Throw said quarters into a wishing well, each time wishing for an NCAA championship in football, basketball, volleyball, (chance at T-Swift), wrestling, gymnastics, etc.? 5) Wind that sack up and drill Herky in the pills? CW: GC chimes in with one of the most insightful mailbag questions of all-time. Well played my friend! Okay, I want to immediately eliminate 1, 3 and 4 from the equation. While all three are intriguing, I can find better ways to spend my time.
So basically, it is up to promoting our website or causing pain to Herky’s jewels.
You guessed it. I choose 5.
Doesn't this just add to the myth that Cyclone fans are more interested in bad things happening to Iowa then good things happening to us? Originally Posted by 2020cy I agree with Tube1. Sweeeeeeet... -
