Dog Boarding/Altoona-Ankeny

Anybody have any recommendations on cheap but good dog boarding in this area?

Dog boarding? Is that like water boarding except with a dog?

I use 4 paws unleashed in Ankeny. They are great and will let your dog out 5 times a day if you don't choose doggy day care.

Great place to take your dog. We take our Springer there. Cory, the owner, use to be a Vet Tech so there is some added comfort with taking your dog there as well.

As a kid, I remember watching over neighborhood dogs, and usually got paid for it. Which was a bonus, because I like dogs. I had a neighbor kid watch our cats when we were away last month, and in turn, when they took a vacation, we watched their dog.


I prefer this option then the option of sending a pet to prison for a week.
