bowl game. by far. we have 3 returning players for BB.
My brain says neither one is in the cards.
My heart says that BBall has the better chance to see some type of post season.... but I gotta say it's looking slim.
Bowl game.
If Royce gets eligibility this year then who knows?
I don't see how we make postseason in basketball with our front court being as weak as it is. Even if we have Royce White playing all year, I see the NIT being a long shot. 2011-12 will be a different story.
There's 6-7 possible wins to be had in football.
i consider myself an optimist but you guys are on crack if you think any of our teams girls BB and VB aside have a snowballs chance in hell at post season play.
Does the second round of the B12 MBB tourney count as postseason play? After the last four years it should...
I think a bowl game is more likely but I could see Hoiberg pulling off a few upsets too...
Logic says a bowl is more likely. But I'm going out on the limb and say MBB postseason. Sneak in just under the NIT wire.
I still think ISU will be 5-7 in football. Might be one of the best teams in the country that doesn't reach postseason.
My gut says MBB will be right around the 13 or 14-win area (I'm not one of those who thinks it's a 10-win season. I just don't).
Here's what I see happening. In mid-January, it'll look like we're headed toward another sub-.500 season. But in mid-February the team will start to click, surprise a few teams and string together some wins, maybe even win a B12 first-round game.
It'll be too-little, too-late for an NCAA bid, but a strong enough finish to elevate above (ugh) CBI.
I don't mind. I think that football has a decent chance to make it through this thing and emerge in a bowl game.
If Royce White is somehow eligible, then nothing would surprise me for the young running basketball team.
This is sad and funny at the same time.
6 wins in FB is more likely than 20 for BBall
