I State logo
Been traveling for work over the last several months and am on vacation this week. Do any other Fanatics run into people asking what the I State logo is? I have had several people at bars ask me what the logo represents and when I tell them they ask what happened to Cy? But when I wear shirts with Cy on them, people talk to me about Iowa State all the time. Is the I State logo recognized by out of staters? I think ISU needs to go back to Cy as their main logo as the majority of people recognize Cy.

Re: I State logo
I liked Cy alot better...but this is the new look so get use to it!!!

Re: I State logo
I like the I-state. It's simple and effective.
It will take time to be recognized. With that said, I'd also like to add that the new "punching Cy" is incredibly underutilized.

Re: I State logo
I've accpeted the I-State logo but I'm not the biggest fan of it. People who make fun of it to me say "Are you Indiana State? Are you Illinois State? Are you Iceland State? What the hell is I-State?" They kind of have a point

Re: I State logo
I like the logo. Really like it.
However, I don't think I have anything that has it on it. Maybe one pullover in my golf bag. And my golf towel. But most all my t-shirts, hats, sweatshirts are the old CY.
And I think most people I see about have that as well. In fact, I probably see more blender-bird than the new logo

Re: I State logo
i was a fan of the bird coming out of the tornado thing. why they always have to change **** is beyond me.
but, as it is, i hope they keep it the same now. besides, they already bought a giant *** sticker to put on the back side of the score board. ;)

Iowa State is BCS. Most people are clueless or ********. FWIW. It's a logo. It will take time and national press for the random schmuck to understand what it symbolizes.

Do you also think that KFC ought to go back to their old logo? Or Pepsi? Or Ford?
The fear of change is not an admirable quality.

Re: I State logo
The new I-State logo has only been around a few years. The old logo was around for a lot longer and we were on the national scene in some sports for a couple of years. Once we get back on the national scene with the new logo, people will start to recognize it.

Indiana State and Illinois State? Really. The only time Indiana State is ever mentioned is when referencing Larry Bird back in the late 70s. People are just trying to get under your skin my man. The point they make is one that is not very sharp.

Re: I State logo
I State is here to stay. We can't be switching logos every 3 years like we used to do with football coaches if we want to become a perennial contender. No way do we get national recognition if we change it again. No way do we get the best recruits if we aren't recognized.
