Pollard just said on the call-in show that there isn't even 5,000 student season ticket sales
It's the first time we've been below 7,000 in 6-7 years! YIKES! Come on students...where are you?

Yeah, I caught this as well. What gives, students? If I were there now I would have been the first in line! Could it be because of the new ticketing (ISU cards)?
Well that is pretty sad.......... I would have thought Student tickets would have been up after last year.
They got rid of the tickets on the ISU Card thing. You have to pick up student tickets at the Jacobsen building.
They aren't doing the isu cards anymore. Something about the flood messing up the electronics needed
What in the hell? The student section had a really good turn out last year, and every year as of late.
Not a good sign at all. And I doubt it goes much higher.
So much for needing to bowl in the south endzone.
Pollard was pretty confused by this too, apparently regular season ticket sales are pretty down this year as well. Hopefully individual game ticket sales will be way up to help offset this.
I can't understand this.
We pack the place for crap football in 07 and 08, and now with our best team in sometime no one is showing.
Hopefully they allow individual game student tickets. You could always do this when I was in school.
I honestly worry about attendance as much as anything on-field. It's one of the few things fans can control. It just blows my mind with all the buzz around the program, that there's this level of apathy.
We just do not have the bandwagon hoppers to push sales in tough economic times....
I would imagine the economy isn't helping anything, both with student tickets and non-student tickets. When you consider how much tuition and other fees keep going up the extra money for tickets can be hard to come by for a lot of people. That said, I'm really surprised by this. I know more people that have season tickets this year than last year, and I would have figured a lot of people would be more interested since we finally have a decent team again. And a drop from over 7,000 to under 5,000 is very, very strange. I don't quite get it.
This would also probably be why I saw Cy out trying to get people to buy tickets in front of Gerdin this morning.
Still doesn't explain the student sales.
The AD has to find a way to let students jump on the bandwagon at this point. We need that presence. This is seriously the most disturbing thing, to me personally, that has happened with ISU football since Chizik quit.
It does seem that we've had to rely on a last minute surge in student ticket sales in the past couple of years though. As long as I see a full student section from section G on Thursday, I won't care. I don't care how we get that, I just want to get it.
