    I don’t think they wanted those exact colors — this is just a shopped photo of Bret Meyer from the throwback game against Iowa — Nike could certainly make them (they already had), but that’s not what the school wanted

    That's a nice gold for sure One other problem with a "traditional" or "metallic" gold: if you're annoyed by the cardinal helmet & jersey not matching, take a look at teams with gold helmets & "matching" pants... Heck, GA Tech gave up & purposefully applied three different golds to their uniforms

    Our official "gold" is ****ing ugly - I'm not sure why y'all still complaining about the "gold" used on the uniforms, which I would call "athletic gold" I can understand if someone wanted to use gold similar to the 49ers, but surely no one thinks our official "gold" is better than "athletic...

    Most teams are on the new template - last year's JT uniforms were cut from the new template, albeit in (likely) cheaper material & they didn't get the "decorative" collar treatment

    Yes, it has the seams running across the front on the shoulders to the neck line & it has the terrible new collar - it is def the new template, "chassis"

    One reason I prefer Nike's previous template - the truncated collar with the straight line across the chest looks way better - the new collar is too "flywire"-ish
