That's exactly it - I hate when people's half-assed attempts at knowledge on the issues makes them feel entitled to pontificate on issues that they have no place debating.

I'm sure. I didn't feel like starting a debate with her so I just let it go.

Sometimes I don't like knowing these things. Ignorance is bliss as long as it's happening to you...otherwise it's just frustrating as hell!

But I'm sure she is fine with "nuke-u-lar" even though it is NOT an acceptable alternative? I hate partisanship for partisanship's sake.

Now I've got a friend saying she laughed so hard when Biden said "Bosniaks," claiming he's stupid for not knowing they are "Bosnians". Even though both are acceptable. It never ends.

I had to admit defeat, but I can't think of one I have enjoyed more. We kill me. ;)

I DO now remember the BOGOHO thing exactly - and it's 100% true. I might actually start taking a marker in with me when I go to the store.

I'm just... wow. I can't stop laughing long enough to type out anything except, "Well, then I'm going to hell for laughing." I think the sledge hammer is what actually drove it home for me. That sound means business.

I still just have nothing to fire back with yet. That is a commitment to punnery to which I could never aspire.

I'm a really cheap person, so I don't go shopping a lot. When I do, I go to places like outlet malls, or Target - I recently discovered and have fallen in love with Steve & Barry's - and for shoes I almost always go to Payless.

The thing about Payless, the thing they are best known for, is BOGO. And everyone knows exactly what it means: Buy One, Get One. But if you stop to think about it, you don't get a second pair free - you get it half off. Leading me to believe Payless needs to change their promotion to BOGOHO.

And I'm still waiting to see my storyboard concept for Cheez-its to actually materialize into a commercial. Where does it take place? Birth of Christ. Good place to start. Jeezy Chreezy and the peeps are hanging in their barn, when there's a knock at the door! It's the three wise men! And they have gifts! Gold! Myrrh! But the holy family doesn't recognize the third gift, and have to ask Caspar what it is. "Jesus! It's Cheez-its!" Cut to a blasphemous shot of the box. Caption appears to the side (perhaps with a heavenly choir in the backround as sound effects): "The birth of a new messiah..." Underneath it the second caption appears in all caps (probably with some really BA sound effect like a sledge hammer hitting steel): OF FLAVOR!

    I'm going to hell.

That is hilarious. I really don't think that could have been funnier if it were made up. I have a friend with whom I swap puns, but it's so much better when they're rooted in real life.

I do remember a story - but never mind refreshing!!!

Yeah, there's something about "hobo" that is just really funny. After the song "A Bay Bay" came out, I told some friends that I was going to write a ******* hip-hop song with ******* lyrics. We were working and all wearing polos, so I just opened my mouth and the first thing that came out was "Hobopoloabobo". I'm not sure how well that'll translate in text, but in person it's been a good year-long recurring joke.

Along with "Bogoho," but I think I might have already told you that grammatical musing of mine.
