Cyclones latest to offer Dowling's Wisnieski

I don't have the DM Register article here in front of me, but I remember that JW was quoted as saying that he really hoped he received an offer from ISU. I wouldn't be surprised if the ISU was the leader at this point in time.

    D-Line 2012?

If the most recent depth chart means anything, the starting D-Line would be: LE Willie Scott DT Jake McD NG Walter Woods RE Rony Nelson That is, of course, if the season were to start today. Scott doesn't have the size to be an every down player. I suspect that Rossie Maggit will nail...

    Placekickers for 2012

The roster lists 3 placekickers returning in 2012: Edwin Arceo Mitch Amundson Chris Moore Does anyone have any information as to who is the frontrunner? Anyone of them stand out? TIA

Ishmail Hayes and Eddie Porter Question

Will they be attending ISU this Spring - or will it be the Summer before they arrive on campus? TIA

    Big 12 Strong Next Year?

Just for fun, I checked the Rivals.com depth charts for each of ISU's conferernce opponents next year, and virtually every team returns a strong nucleus - numbers wise. So if the Clones are going to go to the next level next year, they'll have to count on more than returning experience.

    2012 Passing Game

While every team, certainly ISU, has numerous things to work on during spring practice, the key to the Clones moving up in the world is improving the passing game. The Big 12 stats for conference games only show that ISU was ranked 7th in passing offense, and LAST in passing efficiency...

    2012 Defense

Some on this board have stated that for the defense to improve next year, they will need to improve their effort against the run. While conference stats would support such a contention, I'm wondering if Wally Burnham's strategy is to give up a little against the run in order to better defend...

    Sizing Up the Big 12

First let me say that I was feeling really good about the victory over Iowa until I read all of the threads on this board saying that ISU couldn't hold a lead and was one of the worst teams in the conference. That leads me to ask what the consensus is as to how the Clones stack up with the rest...

Look for Stronger Effort Against Mich

My gut tells me that the team will give a stronger effort against Michigan on Saturday because it is a more prestigious school than Drake or UNI. This doesn't mean they will play more like a team, but the effort will be improved.

    KSU Breakdown....

Comparing the conference only stats: Total Offense: ISU 400.5 yds KSU 340.8 yds Total Defense: KSU 459.8 yds ISU 467.0 yds Hell yes, we can play with these guys. As the OP says, we need to hold onto the ball.

    Collin Bevins Offered by Iowa

Just heard that the Hawks have offered ISU commit Bevins - as a TE/OL. CPR plans to start him on the DL. This is the 2nd in-state Clone commit that has later received an Iowa offer.

    Discipline and focus

I don't know if this has already been mentioned (I haven't waded through every single post on this thread), but I wonder if the fact that Rhoads is going more with the hurry up offense is causing some of the penalty/turnover issues. That and the fact that Jantz is still learning how to read...

Sick of all of the REVENGE Talk

So much is being made in the media of the REVENGE factor for this game. In fact, the Clones will be hungrier and more on fire than the 'Horns. For Texas, last year's loss was a fluke - one of seven. For ISU, this is a HUGE opportunity to elevate the program to the next level; the players have...

    What's Wrong With the SEC?

From what I've read, the SEC offered Oklahoma to become a member, but the Sooners declined despite being spurned by the PAC 12 and being resentful about the unequal revenue sharing in the Big 12. Also, Missou and the SEC have been flirting, but I hear nothing about the Tigers wanting to jump...
