    Isaiah Austin

Poor kid. Luckily, with his diagnosis, he can prevent serious complications or sudden death. Sidebar: I work in genetics, and it's surprising the diagnosis took so long. Detached retinas are a sign of Marfan. And it's not height alone that makes one suspicious of the condition...it's body...

FREE ISU vs Texas Tech Tickets

I'm a classy broad with deep ISU roots. I'm also not completely ugly. Finally, the person who would come with me has been an Iowa fan for years, and he's halfway converted...so, tickets to me would help in converting another. Actually, I'm not that deserving. I **** cardinal and bleed gold...

animal science looking for res. hall

Willow/Larch. I lived on a coed floor in Larch and had an outrageously good time. Also, you're right on the orange bus line, so you can scrape yourself out of bed and get anywhere.

    Skin Cancer

I'm super paranoid about skin cancer. Best of luck! You are right - basal cell carcinomas are easy to treat if caught early. Always be vigilant - skin cancer rates will only continue to rise with our generation.

    Anyone here a physician?

I'm thinking really hard about going back to med school. The problem is that I'll be 26/27 when (if) I start, and as a lady I would want to have a child during med school. Also, I'd want to stay local and go to D.O. school, which is fine because I don't really care about a lot of the...

    Anyone here a physician?

Anyone? Or, do you have a physician family member? If so, how many hours do you/they work per week? Also, are you/they happy as a doc? Thanks in advance!

    Do you like your job?

Thanks for all the supportive thoughts. I'm a lady, and I finished my master's in a career that I thought would be fulfilling. I'm not so sure now. Med school costs money, and I'd like to start a family eventually, which is hard to do when you're in school/residency. Plus, there would be a...

    Dog ideas

I've wanted a shiba inu for a long time, but they seem a little high maintenance. My friend has a basset, and he is loving and fun but needy (for attention).

    Do you like your job?

Hey fanatics, Being the curious type, I was wondering what kind of job satisfaction CFers have. Lately, I've been regretting not getting my MD. I'm 24 and work in a health care profession, and I can't help but think that I know I could be a good MD. It feels too late. Does anyone else have...

    Colonoscopy

Google Lynch Syndrome, also called Hereditary Nonpolyposis Colorectal Cancer. There are other hereditary cancer syndromes, but this is the most common in relation to colorectal cancer. For someone without a history, it is 50 with 10 year intervals. Based on your family history, it can be...
