Clones hooping it up at Lied

So I was over playing basketball today at the Lied Rec to celebrate its reopening. First I played in a game against Bubu, then watched as Diante and who I am pretty sure was Chris Allen played one court over. They didn't stand out too much compared to their competition, granted they weren't trying too hard, but when they turned it on... Lookout! I can't wait to see Chris Allen in Cardinal and Gold. There was a series when Allen flushed one then came back the next possession and hit one from deep. It was a thing of beauty.

Oh and JVB was walking around and shooting. I was waiting for Freddie to come strolling in and seal the deal.

I was there tonight too and say them. I liked how JVB was just nonchalantly walking between baskets shooting a ball.

I saw them too, I dared my friend to go ask Diante if he was going to learn how to finish at the rim this year, he didn't.

To bad. That would have been so cool. Good idea on your part.

Re: Clones hooping it up at Lied

I cant wait to watch the PG come down and call out play 1,252 and have him dribble around the top of the key for a bit, not be able to make an entry pass and then a desperation three as shot clock expires....

Oh wait that coach is at Creighton.....

I hope that Hoiberg brings back the "lets run" mentality and coaches good ol fundamentals that i seriously thought our teams of the past lacked.....Give me a good power forward who can play with his back to the rim, give a pg that can distribute the ball and provide an entry pass when the offensive player has the advantage and give me a 2-3 that can hit the open shot 60% of the time and we will be a lot of fun!!!!

cant wait to see the product on the court...if this team can win 16-17 games then Hoiberg will have a huge amount of credibility when recruiting and i think his ability to attract better and better players only goes up...and its already pretty darn good!!!!!

With the revamp of this team, there are a lot of dudes that cant keep it in their pants. Not a bad thing.
