Iowa B-ball recruit today
Apparently the hawks have picked up a verbal commit from Cedar Rapids guard Josh Oglesby. He must be pretty good since he called a press conference to announce his college choice.
Anybody know how good this kid is? Did CFH offer him?

Re: Iowa B-ball recruit today
He can't be any worse than what they've got...but he is from Iowa so that immediately makes him suspect in my book.

Top 150. No offer from Fred as far as I know. Nice player.

Nice role player. Like a Bohnanon or Gatens. Can't build a team around him. Hawks need Fran to go get top talent otherwise he will have a very average career like Gatens

Josh Oglesby - Yahoo! Sports
According to Rivals, ISU didn't offer him. Poor kid just walked himself into a train wreck of a situation.

Re: Iowa B-ball recruit today
I heard he was a life long hawk fan and today must really be a thrill for him. Good for him, has to be exciting. And no, Hoiberg didn't offer him.

If we didnt want him he must suck.... .

Re: Iowa B-ball recruit today
We were targeting Joe Coleman for SG. Minnesota had Coleman 1 and Oglesby 2 for options at SG. Coleman and Oglesby visited MN last week and Coleman committed this past weekend so they dropped out leaving Oglesby with Iowa and Arizona State left from his visited list. He had lots of offers from UNI, Creighton, Butler, BC, Illinois, Northwestern, etc...
Pretty much a no-brainer he's going to Iowa.

Pretty much a no-brainer he's going to Iowa. No brainer? Iowa's program is in the tank and can pull basically a 2A basketball crowd to Carver. Should have done himself a favor and went to ASU for the coeds alone.

Could you please attach a few pictures of these coeds you're talking about. TIA!

Anybody know how good this kid is? Did CFH offer him? He'll be average, at best. And he's an attitude problem.

Re: Iowa B-ball recruit today
He is the type of player Iowa will most likely be getting over the next few years as Fran tries to rebuild the program. If kids like Ogelsby pan out and the program starts to improve, then Iowa can hope for higher rated kids. But, this looks like a pretty good pick up for the Hawks, all things considered. It's certainly hard to complain about a top 150 kid.
